Finding awesome gift basket ideas for men, can be difficult. So what I love most about this easy DIY present is that you can adjust the items included in your basket to suit your gift-recipients preferences! Keep reading to get even more ideas for creating your own Dollar Tree gift baskets for everyone on your list.

This amazing car wash gift basket is filled with items from the dollar store. That means if you follow my instructions, you can make an awesome gift for dad or your teenager for just $10!

Here’s what I included in my car care gift basket:

• Drying towel
• Sponge glove
• Car wash soap
• Glass cleaner
• Tire wash
• Spray wax
• Protectant spray
• Interior cleaner
• Air freshener

After purchasing the car wash supplies, you’ll also need a few other items to put your gift basket together. To package your dollar store gift basket, you’ll need:

• Basket: The basket I used for my gift was from the Christmas section of Dollar Tree. The store also had a variety of solid colored baskets in the home section that would be perfect for this DIY gift. You could even grab a bucket from the cleaning aisle to make the basket part of the gift itself!

What to Put in a Car Wash Gift Basket?

Since this easy gift idea uses a variety of prepacked items, it’s so easy to put together! The hardest part is picking out the different elements you’ll put in your car care basket!

Before you can start adding all the car wash supplies to your basket, it’s a good idea to add some filler to the bottom of the basket. This will help make it easier to arrange everything in the basket. And it helps all the items stand up over the top of the basket so everyone can easily see what’s inside.

I used paper shreds from the gift wrap section of the dollar store. And since I only needed half the bag to fill the basket, I was able to use the rest of the paper shreds in a second gift. If you can’t find paper shreds, tissue paper is another great filler option. Just ball up the tissue paper and place it in the bottom of the basket until it’s full.

Since I also included a white drying towel as part of the gift, I used that as a filler item, as well. Just remove the tag from the top of the towel and unfold it. Then arrange it in the top of the basket. After that, you can stack all the other elements of the car wash basket on top.

Once your basket is filled, it’s time to start adding all the carwash supplies into the top of the basket. I started with the larger items, including the car wash soap and tire foam. I also added the scrubbing glove to the back of the basket since it was pretty big.

After that, I arranged the smaller bottles in the front of the basket, starting with the glass cleaner and spray wax. My dollar store had a variety of different ArmorAll spray bottles to choose from, so you should have a wide selection of cleaners and waxes to add to your own gift basket!

Then I added the last of the spray bottles — multi purpose cleeaner and protectant — along with an air freshener.

Once you have your basket filled with car wash supplies, it’s time to decorate! My favorite way to decorate all my DIY gifts is with a cute and festive gift tag.

To make your own gift basket for men, you’ll need to print out my free gift tags. To get your own, simply subscribe to my email list, print them out on cardstock, and tie them to your jar.

After downloading your printable tags, print them out on white cardstock and cut the tags out around the outer edge. After that, you can attach the tag to your gift basket with ribbon by punching a hole in the corner and threading the ribbon through the hole. Or simply place the tag in the front of the gift basket.

Either way, don’t forget to sign your name to the back before adding it to your DIY gift!
