Make Your DIY Popcorn Gift Basket

Fill basket with filler

Putting this adorable popcorn gift basket together is so simple! The first step is finding the perfect basket. I found this cute red and white metal basket at Dollar General for $3! Then, I filled it with some red paper shreds from the Dollar Tree. When adding filler to your basket, make sure to fill it completely full to keep your jars from sinking inside the basket when you start arranging them.

Fill jar with popcorn kernels

The key to making a beautiful gift basket is the packaging. So, on top of finding a cute basket to hold all the popcorn making ingredients, it’s also important to find great containers for all of the different components. To store the popcorn kernels, I chose a wide-mouth pint-sized mason jar. The wide mouth makes it easy to scoop the popcorn out of the jar without much trouble.

Fill jar with oil

Next, I used a small jelly jar to hold the vegetable oil. While this part of the popcorn gift basket isn’t essential, I think it’s a nice touch. Because popcorn never tastes better than when it’s popped in a little bit of oil on the stove.

Glue printable labels on popcorn seasoning shaker

Now it’s time to package my favorite part of this gift basket — the seasoning. When I was creating the labels for this cute popcorn gift basket, I used flavors from Kernel Seasoning’s range of flavors as my inspiration. They have so many amazing flavors to choose from and they’re all so good. But the best part about this part of the gift basket is how cute those labels look on the seasoning shaker jars, which I found at Dollar Tree for $1 each!

Add printable label to front of popcorn gift basket

Finish putting your popcorn gift basket by adding the cute printable tag to the basket. I love how this tag looks stuck right to the front of my metal basket, but you could also punch a hole in the corner of the tag and tie it on with a piece ribbon, too!
