Elf Snot Slime

This adorable gift idea coudn’t be simpler to make. That’s because you can grab most of your supplies from the dollar store!

To make your own gift, you’ll need just a handful of simple supplies, including:

• Green slime. I used two containers of green slime from Dollar Tree called Goofy Gooey. I found them in the toy aisle. You can use any type of green slime you want — you can even make it yourself!
• Mason jar. To fit a gift card inside, you’ll need a tall half pint jar or a wide mouth pint jar, depending on how much slime you have on hand. I used a half pint jar and it was the perfect size to hold two containers of dollar store slime.
• Printable label. The key to turning your green slime into a cute Christmas gift is the gift tag! Keep reading to see how to get your own printable elf snot label for your gift in a jar.
• String or ribbon. After you print out your label, you can attach it to the jar with string or ribbon. I used some red and white twine I got in the craft aisle of Dollar Tree.

Before you can make your elf snot gift in a jar, you’ll need to start by printing out the gift tag. The tag says Elf Snot so everyone will know what’s inside the mason jar!

How to Make an Elf Snot Slime Gift

Putting together your own elf snot slime gift couldn’t be easier! After you grab your printable gift tag, just follow these quick instructions to create a fun gift to pass out to all your friends and family member.

Start by downloading my printable gift tag and printint it on cardstock. Then, cut the tag out around the outer border. Use a hole punch to put a hole in the top of the card, then set it aside for a minute while you fill up your mason jar.

Grab your mason jar and your green slime. Fill the jar with the slime, making sure that the jar isn’t completely full. Once the slime is added, slide the gift card down the center of the jar. You may need to wiggle it a little bit to work it down into the slime.

Continue pressing the card into the slime until it’s fully submerged. Then, place the lid on top of the jar. Wrape a piece of twine or ribbon around the lid a few times, then attach the gift tag to the top of the jar with a bow.

• Add money instead of a gift card. In addition to hiding a gift card in your slime, you can also hide cash to create a money gift in a jar! I would suggest placing the cash in a plastic bag to protect it while it’s hidden in the slime, then slide the money down into the slime to hide it.
• Leave out the gift card. Hiding a gift card in the slime is a fun way to give a boring gift. But there’s no reason you can’t just give the slime on its own. This elf snot slime would make a great stocking stuffer for your kids!
