These easy Halloween finger foods are so simple to make! But the best part about this recipe for Halloween breadsticks is that you probably already have everything you need to make them! To create your own mummy breadsticks you’ll need:
- canned crescent rolls
- melted butter
- garlic powder
- string cheese
- sliced olives
On top of being simple to make, these easy Halloween finger foods are also super versatile! You could make them for your next Halloween party, serve them alongside pizza or pasta for a fun Halloween family dinner, or whip them up as a cute Halloween-themed after school snack for your kids.
However you plan to serve these mummy breadsticks, I’m sure everyone will love them! So what are we waiting for? Let’s learn how to make these easy Halloween finger foods!
Make Your Own Halloween Finger Foods
Start by preheating the oven according the crescent roll package instructions. Then, unroll the dough and separate the sheets to form rectangles. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough, making sure the perforated line in the center is flattened completely.
Using a sharp knife, cut each rectangle in half to form a small square. Then, cut strips in each side of the square to make mummy wraps for your Halloween breadsticks. Be sure to leave the center intact so you’l have a good place to put your cheese! When you have all the wraps cut for your Halloween finger foods, cut the string cheese to fit inside each breadstick and place it in the middle.
Now it’s time to have a little fun with your Halloween finger foods! Create mini mummies with your crescent roll dough by wrapping the dough strips around your string cheese. Try to alternate the placement of each strip to create an uneven look to your mummy wraps.
After each mummy has been wrapped, add a little bit of seasoning and melted butter to the top of each breadstick. I brushed each of my Halloween breadsticks with melted butter then sprinkled some garlic powder and parsley flakes on top of each one. Finish decorating your Halloween finger foods by placing sliced olive “eyes” on top of each mummy.
Bake the crescent rolls according to the package instructions. When the mummies are golden brown, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving with some “bloody” marinara sauce for dipping.
