Giving the gift of food is a great way to show your child’s teacher you care. That’s why I love this cute handmade teacher gift! It’s an adorable gift in a jar with a delicious snack inside. And in addition to being cute and delicious — it’s also super simple to make!
Make Some S’More Snack Mix
The first step to creating this easy handmade teacher gift is to mix up the s’mores snack mix. This sweet snack mix has all the flavors of the popular summer treat, without all the mess! To make your own s’more snack mix, you’ll need three cups of graham cracker cereal, two cups of mini marshmallows, and one cup each of mini chocolate chips and M&Ms. Simply pour everything into a large bowl and stir until mixed.
This recipe is enough to fill four pint-size jars, making it perfect for your child to pass out to all their teachers. Think of all the teachers your child sees each day in addition to their regular instructor — PE teachers, music teachers, librarians — the list goes on and on!
You can thank all the teachers in your kids’ lives at once with this adorable handmade teacher gift. Simply set four jars and fill them equally full of snack mix. If you need to make more than four jars, simply double the recipe. And if you need to make less than four gifts, use larger jars for your snack mix teacher gift.

Grab a piece of your favorite scrapbook paper and cut out a backing for the card and a topper for the jar. The easiest way to do this is to secure the card to the paper, leaving a quarter-inch boarder on the top and side. Then, cut the paper one quarter inch from the bottom and opposite side.

Finally, place the round metal jar topper on top of your scrapbook paper and trace around the edges. Then, cut out your circle and place it on top of the round lid insert.
Finish by placing the metal ring on the lid to hold the scrapbook paper in place. Then, wrap a pretty ribbon around the top of the jar. Punch a hole in the corner of your gift tag. Scure it to the side of the jar with your ribbon. Finish by tying a bow.

I really like this! I love the idea of gifting consumable items instead of something that might sit around collecting dust, especially when they sound so yummy. Saving this for my son’s sweet teacher!
These are so cute and so simple to make! When I was a classroom teacher, I loved homemade gifts from the families! They were the best!

We have done this for our teachers over the years. We don’t use a glass jar just decorate a pretty bag so they can throw everything away when eaten. The printable is a nice touch.
