Gluten Free Oreo Pie
Since this pie is so simple to make, it’s going to be your new favorite gluten free recipe! Any time you need to bring a dessert to a party, just grab the ingredients for this simple dessert and whip it up!

The best part about this simple dessert is that you only need three ingredients to prepare it. Make your own gluten free Oreo pie with these three items:
- Gluten Free Oreo cookies. You can typically find gluten free Oreos in the cookie aisle of your store. In my local stores, they’re always on the shelf next to the regular Oreos.
- Butter. I typically use unsalted butter when preparing the crust for this pie. But using salted butter won’t hurt anything if that’s all you have on hand!
- Frozen whipped topping. To make the filling for this pie, you’ll need frozen whipped topping, like Cool Whip. Most brands of whipped topping are naturally gluten free, but it’s always a good idea to check the label before mixing up your pie filling.
Are Oreos Gluten Free?
Traditional Oreos in the blue package are NOT gluten free. So, if you want to make this pie, you’ll need to look for the cookies in the white package that are labeled as “gluten free Oreos.” You can typically find the gluten free version of these sandwich cookies in the cookie aisle next to the regular Oreos.
If you can’t find the brand-name gluten free Oreos at your store, you can also use different brands of these chocolate sandwich cookies. There are a few other brands that make GF cookies similar to Oreos, including:
- Glutino chocolate vanilla creme sandwich cookies
- Goodie Girl chocolate creme sandwich cookies
- Kinnikinnick sandwich cream cookies
- Great Value chocolate cream sandwich cookies
How to Make Gluten Free Oreo Pie Crust
The first step to making this quick and easy no bake pie recipe is preparing the crust. Luckily, it’s super simple to prepare if you have a food processor!

Start by placing the gluten free Oreo cookies in your food processor and place the lid on top. Pulse the blades several times to finely chop the cookies into a fine crumb. You may need to remove the lid and check on the progress a few times to ensure all the cookies are finely chopped and there aren’t any large chunks inside the bowl.

After the cookies are chopped, add the melted butter directly to the food processor bowl and place the lid back on top. Pulse a few more times to mix the butter into the cookie crumbs. Continue pulsing until the crumbs begin to stick together.

Carefully remove the blade from the food processor and transfer the crust ingredients to your pie pan. This recipe makes enough crust for a 9-inch pie pan. Press the crust into place around the pan until it’s firm and solid, then place the crust in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
How to Make Gluten Free Oreo Pie
Now that you have your gluten free Oreo pie crust ready to go, it’s time to prepare the filling! Luckily, you’ll only need two ingredients to make this simple no-bake pie filling for your dessert.

The pie filling also features crushed Oreos. You can add more Oreo cookies to your food processor to crush them. Or crush the cookies by hand using a rolling pin. Either way, these cookies don’t have to be crushed as fine as the ones used for the crust.
After the cookies are crushed, mix them with half the Cool Whip in a medium bowl. Continue stirring until the cookies are well mixed into the whipped topping.

When the crust is finished chilling, remove it from the refrigerator and spread the Oreo pie filling evenly over the top of the crust.

Top the Oreo filling with the remaining whipped topping, making sure to spread it evenly over the entire pie.
After that, return the pie to the refrigerator to chill for at least four hours. The longer the pie chills, the cleaner your pie pieces will be, so you can leave your Oreo pie in the fridge up to overnight before you slice and serve it.

When you’re ready to serve your pie, decorate the top with more crushed Oreos. Then, place a full Oreo in the top of each slice.
No Bake Oreo Pie Recipe Ideas
See how simple it is to make your own no bake cookie pie? And once you see how delicious it is, it’s going to be your new favorite dessert!

With the help of these easy recipe adjustments and additions, you can create a delicious dessert for any celebration:
- Crush the cookies by hand. Using a food processor is the easiest way to prepare your Oreo crust. But if you don’t have one, you can also crush your cookies by hand. Place the Oreos in a gallon size bag, remove excess air from the bag, and seal it. Using a rolling pin, roll the top of the cookies in different directions, pressing down on the cookies to fully crush them. Continue rolling until all the cookies are finely crushed. After that, you can mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter in a large bowl to prepare the crust.
- Try different Oreo flavors. This pie is delicious with traditional chocolate Oreos with vanilla creme, but that’s not the only type of cookie you can use! Try using gluten free mint Oreos or vanilla cream cookies for different pie flavors.
- Use regular Oreos. While this recipe is designed to be gluten free, there’s no reason you can’t make it with traditional Oreos if gluten isn’t an issue for you! You can even make the process easier by using a premade Oreo pie crust!
