Then, use clothespins to attach each of the labels to your containers so everyone will know exactly what toppings they have to choose from. For our party, we used a variety of different delicious toppings to add onto our guests’ hot dogs and hamburgers, including:

  • Onion
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Sliced cheese
  • Shredded cheese
  • Chili
  • Jalapeno
  • Relish

After clipping your clothespin labels to the top of each container, just fill them up with toppings and display them on your food table.

You can also use the labels for condiment containers. I found these clear plastic bottles at Dollar Tree to use for our condiments. To attach the labels, just use a little bit of craft bond glue to stick the labels to the front of the bottles.

For our dog-themed hot dog bar, we served:

  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • BBQ sauce

Hot Dog Bar Menu

While coming up with new ways to enjoy a hot dog is part of the fun of a hot dog bar, sometimes your guests need a little inspiration. That’s why it’s a good idea to create a menu for your guests, to give them some ideas of ways they can prepare their hot dogs.

This fun menu gave the hot dog bar a dog-themed spin that was a hit with all the guests!

Dog Themed Party Food Ideas

While a hot dog bar makes a great idea for dog themed party food, you’ll probably need a few other options for your guests to enjoy at your celebration. These other fun party food ideas are a great way to feed your party guests:

  • Dog themed treats. You’ll also need some fun dog themed treats for your guests. Using a bone-shaped cookie cutter is a great way to turn plain treats, like cookies and Rice Krispies treats, into adorable snacks for a puppy party.
  • Dog party snacks. Snacks are another fun addition to a birthday party spread. A snack mix featuring a mix of sweet and salty is a simple way to satisfy the tastes of all your guests.
  • Puppy cake or cupcakes. You can’t throw a birthday party without delicious cake! Dress up your cake with some puppy themed elements, like dog treats or paw prints. Scooby Snacks make great additions to your cupcakes because they look just like dog treats.
