How to Make Creamed Corn with Cream Cheese

I love corn, but I’m not a fan of the canned cream corn you find on your grocery store shelves. Luckily, it’s easy to make your own creamed corn with cream cheese! To make creamed corn at home using cream cheese, you’ll need just a handful of simple ingredients:
- Frozen corn: You can also use fresh corn or canned corn for this recipe, but I prefer the flavor and ease of frozen corn when I’m baking it in a casserole.
- Butter: You can’t make a corn dishe without plenty of butter!
- Cream cheese: Use cream cheese to add a creaminess to your homemade cream corn. It’s the easiest and tastiest way to make your own creamed corn.
- Milk: Cream cheese alone won’t make your creamed corn creamy. You’ll also need to add some milk to the mix to ensure your creamed corn stays creamy as it bakes.
- Seasoning: You’ll also want to add some flavor to your creamed corn with cream cheese recipe by seasoning it with a little bit of salt and pepper to taste.
So, the first step to making this cheesy creamed corn casserole is to make your creamed corn with cream cheese. Start by whisking or beating together the melted butter, cream cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Make sure your thoroughly combine all those ingredients to cream a smooth, creamy sauce.

After the sauce is ready, you can add your remaining ingredients. In addition to homemade creamed corn, this cheesy corn casserole also includes sharp cheddar cheese and some chopped bacon. Add those ingredients to the bowl with your frozen corn and stir it up until all the ingredients are well combined.

Next, spread the mixture evenly in a 9×13 baking dish and place it in the oven to cook for around 20 minutes.

After the corn casserole has been baking for 20 minutes, you’ll notice the cream cheese sauce has begun to melt and bubble. Remove the casserole from the oven and top it with some more sharp cheddar cheese. Then, return the casserole to the oven to bake for another 10 minutes. After the cheese on top has melted, your cheesy creamed corn casserole is ready to serve!
