The best part about this simple birthday party idea is that you don’t need any special deocrating skills make these cool treats yourself at home! All you have to do is melt some chocolate!

Batman Oreo Cookies

Making your own party treats at home doesn’t have to be difficult! You just have to have a few themed decorations to add to the top to turn plain, boring store-bought cookies into some super cool treats for your Batman party.

Chocolate Covered Oreo Bat Signals

With the help of a specialty candy mold, you can easily create some cool Batman themed cookies with just a few minutes in the kitchen. To make these Batman Oreos, you’ll need:

  • Double Stuf Oreos. I used Double Stuf Oreos to make these cookies because they seem to be a little sturdier for dipping than regular Oreos. But you can use any variety you want when making your own Batman cookies.
  • Yellow melting chocolate. To give the Oreos a classic Batman look, I coated each one in yellow chocolate. You can also use blue chocolate to coat your cookies, depending on what colors you’re using in your party theme.
  • Chocolate chips or black melting chocolate. I wasn’t able to find any black melting chocolate anywhere around me, so I had to stick with plain chocolate chips for the Bat Symbols. I used dark chocolate to give it a darker look, but I think black melting candy would be the best option.

How Do I Make Batman Chocolate?

To turn your plain chocolate covered Oreos into Bat Signal cookies, you’ll need one special supply:

This silicone mold comes in the shape of the Batman logo, making it a great option for a Batman party. I used the candy I made from this mold to top these Batman cookies and to add some sweetness to my Batman snack mix.

How to Make Batman Cookies

Since this is a no-bake recipe, you can whip up these cool Bat signal cookies with just a few minutes of prep work! You can even make them ahead of time and store them until you’re ready to serve them at your party.

Batman Chocolate Mold

The first step to making your Batman cookies is to prepare the Bat Signal chocolates. I suggest making these ahead of time because you’ll need to give them time to set in between batches.

Start by putting your chocolate in a piping bag and melting it according to the package instructions. Once the chocolate is melted, cut the tip off the bag and pipe the melted chocolate into each mold.

Since the molds are pretty thick, I suggest not filling it all the way to the top with chocolate. That will create a Bat Signal that’s a little too big for your Oreos. Just fill each mold around halfway full of chocolate.

Once all the molds are full, place the tray in the refrigerator to set. After it’s fully hardened, pop each chocolate out of the mold by lighty pressing up from the bottom. Remove an extra bits of chocolate from each mold, then refill it and repeate the process until you have enough Batman logos to top each of your cookies.

You can store your finished Batman chocolates in the refrigerator to keep them from melting while you prepare the other pieces of the cookies.

Batman Oreo Cookies

After you have all your Batman chocolates ready to go, you can start making your cookies. First, melt the yellow chocolate according to the package instructions.

I suggest melting them in a mug or wide-mouth jar to make dipping the cookies a little bit easier.

Chocolate Covered Batman Oreos

To dip the cookies in the chocolate, try sliding a fork into the icing. This is why I like using Double Stuf Oreos for dipping. It’s a super simple method that keeps your hands from getting messy!

How to make Batman Cookies

Once the cookie is secure on the fork, slowly dip it into the chocolate until it’s completely submerged. Then, slowly remove it from the chocolate. Lighty tap the end of the fork with your finger to help the extra chocolate drip off.

Then, transfer the coated cookie to a piece of wax paper or parchment paper. You can use a toothpick to help push the cookie off the fork if you need to.

Bat Signal Cookies

While the chocolate is still soft, lightly press a Bat symbol into the top. Then, you can transfer the finished cookies to the refrigerator to help the chocolate set more quickly.

Batman Cookie Ideas

These cool cookies are going to be a big hit at your party! And since they look so awesome, no one will know that you only spent a few minutes making them.

Batman Birthday Oreo Cookies

You’re going to love how simple these cookies are to make. And with these recipe ideas, you’ll have everything you need to make some seriously awesome party treats for your next Batman birthday:

  • Drizzle chocolate over some of the cookies. While these cookies are pretty easy to make, waiting for the chocolate to set in your Batman molds does take a while. If you’re running short on time (like I was), try drizzling some of your dark chocolate over the top of the coated cookies instead of topping every cookie with a Bat symbol. This will help fill out your serving tray without the need to make tons of chocolate Bat logos for the recipe.
  • Use gluten free Oreos. Do you need a gluten free treat for your Batman party? You can easily make this recipe with Gluten Free Double Stuf Oreos instead of the regular cookies. Since these cookies are a little more fragile than traditional Oreos, take special care when coating them in chocolate to keep them from breaking.
  • Make the cookies ahead of time. Finding time to make all the treats for your party can be super difficult. Luckily, these cookies can be made up to one day ahead of time! After putting your cookies together, store them in an airghtight container in the refrigerator. When it’s time for the party, all you have to do is arrange them on your serving tray.
