WWE Sugar Cookies for Your Wrestling Party

These easy WWE sugar cookies are simple to make and are sure to be a big hit with all your party guests!

I love making my own themed recipes for my kids’ parties to fit the celebration. But I don’t always have a lot of time to make homemade treats for each get-together. That’s why I love finding easy party recipes you can make without putting a ton of time and effort into them. These three-ingredient WWE cookies are one of those easy recipes!

Easy WWE Sugar Cookies
The first step to making this wrestling belt sugar cookies is to gather you’re ingredients. Luckily, you only need a handful of simple supplies to make your own awesome WWE cookies at home:
- Sugar cookie dough: You can use your own recipe or simply purchase store-bought cookie dough. If you’re buying pre-made dough, make sure to buy the kind in the roll instead of the pre-cut cookies. You’ll need to be able to roll them out and cut them with a cookie-cutter.
- Royal icing: I used this simple recipe for royal icing from Wilton to make my red and black icing for these cookies.
- Red and black food coloring: Tint half your icing red and half your icing black to decorate your cookies.
- Red sanding sugar: Add some bling to your wrestling belts by sprinkling red sanding sugar over the top of the center of your wrestling belt cookies.
- Wrestling belt cookie cutter: To make these cute belts, you’ll need your own wrestling belt cookie cutter. I got mine on Etsy.
The first step to making your WWE sugar cookies is to make the cookies. Use your favorite recipe or rollout premade dough. You can even make your own gluten free sugar cookies to use for your party. Roll out the dough and use your wrestling belt cookie cutter to cut out the cookies.
Wrestling Belt Sugar Cookies
After the cookies have baked, you can start decorating. But before you add the icing, make sure the cookies have cooled completely. Warm cookies will cause your royal icing to melt, which will be a big mess!
I love serving cookies at parties, but I’m not great at cookie decorating. But these cookies are so simple to decorate!
Start by mixing up your red and black icing. Prepare your royal icing, then separate half of the icing into another bowl. Add black food coloring to one bowl and red food coloring to the other bowl. Mix until the color is thoroughly combined, then add each of the colors to a piping bag.
You don’t need a special tip to pipe the icing onto your cookies. Just snip the very end of the bag off, then pipe a border with the black icing around each side of the belt. Fill in the border with icing, the use a toothpick to spread the icing over each side of the cookie.
Set your cookies aside after adding the black icing and give it time to harden. That will help keep the two colors from bleeding into each other when you add your red icing.
After the black icing has set, you can go back and add the red section of the belt. Use the same process to decorate the center of the belt. Start by making a border around the center of the belt, then fill it in with red icing. Use a toothpick to spread the icing.
While the icing is still damp, sprinkle some red sanding sugar over the top. I suggest doing this right after filling the center of the icing in, so your sprinkles are sure to stick to the top of the cookies.
Once the icing has hardened, you can add these cookies to your WWE party food display. The royal icing will harden enough that you can stack your wrestling belt cookies on top of each other.
