Oriental Trading

In addition to tons of inexpensive party supplies, Oriental Trading also has a pretty big selection of themed paper products and décor, as well. You can find solid tableware in every color imaginable, simple patterned products (like polka dots and chevron prints) that work well with a variety of themes, and some great popular themed products, including superheros and Disney characters. And if you’re looking for favors, this is the place to go! You’re sure to find a ton of amazing favor options no matter what type of party you’re throwing. And the best part is that everything is super cheap! On top of the every day cheap prices, you can also score some great coupon codes by signing up for the company’s email newsletter – including free shipping and discount codes.

Dollar Tree

Dollar Tree is amazing for a variety of reasons, but one of the best things I love about this store is its party supplies. If you’re searching for basic paper products, check Dollar Tree first. You’re sure to find a good selection of solid colored paper plates, napkins, utensils, tablecloths, and balloons. The store also has a handful of themed tableware on occasion, so it’s worth checking out even if you’re looking for something specific. Another great way to use Dollar Tree for party planning is to check the store’s seasonal section for favors and décor that you could use down the road. For example, summer is a great time to grab items for a Tiki party or beach bash or you can grab some floral décor during Easter for a garden party.

Target

Target has recently stepped up their party game and I love what they have to offer. In addition to traditional themes, like dinosaurs and popular cartoon characters, the store also has a good variety of fun discount party supplies in a variety of designs and colors. Here, you’ll find a good selection of tableware, like plates, napkins, and tablecloths, in addition to more designer items, like paper straws and number and letter mylar balloons. Target is also great about staying on trend, so if you’re throwing a trendy themed party (think gold glam or unicorns), check here first for some awesome cheap party supplies. On top of the cheap prices, you can save even more (5%) on your party supplies by using your Target REDcard!

Wal-Mart

While Wal-Mart may not be as trendy as Target in the party department, it does have a lot to offer in the way of cheap birthday party supplies. You can find a big selection of solid colored supplies, including a big variety of plate sizes, plastic cutlery, balloons, tablecloths, and paper straws. The store also has a good selection of favor options at decent prices.

Amazon

Amazon is the place to go for a good deal on a lot of things, including party supplies. I like using Amazon to find specific party items for my themed birthday parties. Not only is it easier than traveling around to different stores to find the perfect items for my party, but I’m guaranteed to get my supplies within two days with Amazon Prime. There are so many options for just about every party theme on the planet on Amazon, and most of the time, the price is as good (if not better) than what you would be paying to buy the item in a store. That makes shopping on Amazon for cheap party supplies a win-win!

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is my favorite store! And it’s a great option when planning a party. In addition to having a pretty good party supply section, a lot of the store’s décor also works well for parties. You can usually find some amazing decorations, like cake stands, beverage dispensers, table cloths, candles, and other decorative items that work well for a variety of themes. Just keep adding those items to your party supply stash and use them over and over again to make the most of each piece you get. I also love Hobby Lobby’s cake decorating aisle. Here, you’ll find all the tools you’ll need to create amazing baked goods for your party. There are tons of fondant tools, amazing food coloring gels, and everything you’ll need to package your desserts for the party. Hobby Lobby has awesome sales each week, where different sections of the store are marked down 50%. Keep an eye on your store’s ad to find out when the things you need for your party will be on sale. And if you need something right away, just print off a 40% off one item coupon from the website and get a deal on anything in the store.

Party City

If you’re searching for décor and paper products for a popular party theme, check out Party City for cheap party supplies. But if you’ve never shopped at this fun store, you might be wondering is Party City expensive? The answer is no! This massive party store has a huge selection of party supplies for just about any popular theme you can think of. Since the supplies at Party City aren’t as cheap as those at Dollar Tree or Wal-Mart, it’s best to use what you find to accent your party’s basic décor. For example, I used chevron plates and solid red napkins for my son’s WWE party, then accented each table setting with a set of paper WWE masks I found at Party City. The masks were only a couple of dollars and added a great accent to the kids’ table. Party City’s supplies don’t typically go on sale, but you can score some deals (like free candy) by signing up for the store’s e-newsletter.

Michael’s

Like Hobby Lobby, Michael’s is another great craft store where you can score affordable party supplies. On top of their big selection of quality party decor, this store’s craft offerings are also perfect for party planning. Keep an eye on your store’s sales to see when party supplies are on sale. You can also get additional savings through the store’s mobile app or by signing up for the e-newsletter.

Etsy

While the custom-made party supplies you can find Etsy can definitely get pricy, there are tons of budget party supplies to buy online, as well. To save money on these customized party supplies, choose the ones that you can print at home. These DIY party supplies are so much cheaper than their handmade counterparts and often look just as good. You’ll have to do a little extra work, but the amount of money you save printing the décor at home is worth it. And you’ll be able to add your own special touches to the décor as you make it.
