After you download your own bunny craft template, print it out on heavy card stock. Then, cut the bunny template out around the outer border. To add a fun decorative element, use a pink crayon to add accents to the ears and feet.
How to Make a Rabbit Out of Cotton Balls
The next step in creating this cute rabbit craft with cotton balls is perfect for young kids. Gluing the cotton balls on to the bunny template is great for practicing fine motor skills and learning how to work with glue!
Keep gluing the cotton balls on to the bunny template until it’s completely covered. I used plain cotton balls from my bathroom closet for this project. You could also use white craft pom poms to make your bunny fluffy in this rabbit craft for preschoolers.
Give the glue a little time to dry on your Easter rabbit craft, then start adding the details to the face. Glue a set of googly eyes on top of the cotton balls just under the ears. Next, make a set of whiskers by cutting three small pieces of jute twine and tying the twine together with another small piece.
Glue the twine whiskers in place just below the eyes. Top the whiskers with a small orange pom pom. In addition to creating a cute nose for your bunny craft for preschoolers, the pom pom will help cover your twine knot underneath.
Finish up your bunny by turning it into a cute puppet. To do this, simply glue a large craft stick to the back of the bunny.
Bunny Rabbit Craft Paper Plate Background
Set the bunny puppet aside for a few minutes and grab a plain white paper plate and some crayons. Ask your child to draw a fun spring picture on the plate to give their bunny somewhere to hop. Be sure to include green grass and blue sky!
Give you bunny puppet a way to hop on your child’s artwork by cutting a slit across the center of the plate. A good place to cut is along the space where the sky meets the ground.
I guarantee your kids will have a blast playing with this fun hopping preschool bunny craft! In addition to having fun putting the cute craft together, they can spend the afternoon making the cute bunny hop around, too!

What a cute idea. I use to do crafts a lot more when my daughter was little, she LOVES crafts, but now my youngest is a boy. My boys are never into crafty stuff like this. However, I think this one would be easy and simple enought for my 3-year-old to try.
