How to Make a Popsicle Stick Gingerbread Man

The first step to making your own gingerbread man out of popsicle sticks is to create the body for your men. Start by painting the craft sticks brown. We used brown acrylic paint and it took two coats to fully cover the popsicle sticks.
Allow the paint to dry completely. After that, build the body and face of the gingerbread man by gluing the eyes to the top of the gingerbread man’s head head. We used small googly eyes for this Christmas craft.
Then, make the body by attach a row of small buttons under the eyes. We used alternating red and green buttons for a fun Christmas look. But you can use any colors you want to decorate your own popsicle stick cookies!
Next, add some fun “icing” to your gingerbread popsicle sticks with a white pen, marker or paint pen. I used a white gel pen that I found in the craft aisle of Dollar Tree to draw some squiggly lines at the top and bottom of each stick.
After that, grab your black marker and draw a smiley face under the eyes to finish decorating your popsicle stick craft.
Once you have your gingerbread men decorated, all that’s left to do is add some string to hang your ornaments on the tree! Create a loop with a short piece of string, twine, or ribbon and glue the ends to the back of the popsicle stick.
Allow the glue to dry completely, then hang your finished gingerbread men on the tree!
