How to Make a Ghost in a Jar
Once you have your Dollar Tree craft supplies gathered up and ready to go, you can start putting your pet ghost together! Keep reading to see how to make your own Halloween crafts right now.
First, stack three small foam balls on top of each other and secure them in place with a hot glue gun. You can also secure the stack of balls in place on the inside of the jar lid with some glue.
After that, cut a piece of white fabric to fit over the top of the stack of foam balls. I used some white felt from the craft section of Dollar Tree, but any type of white fabric will work.
Once you have the fabric cut, place it over the top of the stack of foam balls. Use your hot glue gun to secure the fabric in place.
Then use your marker to draw two black eyes on the front of your ghost. I suggest using a fabric marker for this part, but a permanent marker will work too.
While this next step is optional, it does add a little bit of spookiness to your ghost craft! Use a small package of battery operated purple lights from the dollar store. Wrap the lights around the bottom of the ghost.
Depending on how large your jar is, you can place the battery pack behind the ghost inside the jar. Or thread the wire out of the bottom of the jar and hide the battery pack on the shelf behind your ghost jar when you use it to decorate.
Next, grab your black spider webs and pull off a small section. Wrap the spider webs around the bottom of the ghost to cover up the wires from the lights.
Carefully screw the jar over the top of your ghost, arranging the items inside as you place the jar on top. You may need to adjust everything before securing the lid to ensure your ghost and the lights are placed perfectly.
