Simple Rustic Farmhouse Spring Centerpiece
I love decorating my home with farmhouse DIY projects, and DIYing my own home decor is so fun. I especially love decorating according to the seasons. It’s a great way to change up your home’s decor every few months without completely redecorating. Swapping out a winter floral arrangement for a spring centerpiece is a great way to transform the look of any room instantly.

I love how simple this fun spring centerpiece is to make! In addition to taking no more than five minutes to complete, you also only need a few inexpensive supplies to create a beautiful farmhouse flower arrangement.
Supplies for Your Spring Centerpiece
To create this easy farmhouse flower arrangement, you’ll need:
- A large vase or pitcher
- Tall green grass picks
- Tall eucalyptus picks
- Cotton picks
- Lavender picks
My favorite thing about this easy spring centerpiece is how cheap it was to make! I found the large enamel pitcher I used for a vase at Hobby Lobby. And all the floral pieces I included in this farmhouse arrangement were purchased at Wal-Mart. And I finished off my farmhouse flowers by tying a bow with some black and white buffalo check ribbon I had leftover from my farmhouse candle update.
Make Your Own Farmhouse Flower Arrangement
When building my floral arrangements, I like to start with the tallest elements first and work my way down to the shorter pieces. I added my tall Easter grass to the vase first and pulled the branches apart to make it fuller. Then, I added the eucalyptus bundle to the pitcher and spread those branches apart to fill out the arrangement.
Tip: Add a piece of floral foam or styrofoam to the bottom of your vase to keep the flowers in place as you’re building your centerpiece.
After getting the larger picks arranged the way I liked, I placed my cotton branches into the spring centerpiece. I used two tall cotton branches in this farmhouse floral arrangement, which serve as accent pieces to the other flowers.
This centerpiece wouldn’t be perfect for spring without adding a little bit of color to the floral arrangement. For a simple pop of color, I added a few lavender picks to the centerpiece. Since the branches of lavender were shorter than the other picks I used, I simply placed them in open areas of the centerpiece to fill in bare spots.
Finally, I finished decorating my spring centerpiece with a buffalo check bow. This helps tie the farmhouse flower arrangement in with the rest of my spring home decor.
How to Decorate with Flowers
One of my favorite reasons to decorate with flowers is that they’re so versatile! This impressive flower arrangement would look amazing in so many different spots in your home.
If you’re wondering how to decorate with this spring centerpiece after you’re finished making it, I have some great ideas for you:
- Place it on your dining room table. The first place to consider adding your spring centerpiece is on your dining room table. This big flower arrangement would really make a statement at the center of your dining room.
- Add it to your mantle. Instead of putting these flowers on my dining room table, I decided to place them on my mantle. Adding a flower arrangement to your mantle is a great way to add a pop of color and some varying heights to your fireplace decor.
- Decorate your kitchen. If you have a large island or extra counter space, consider adding this floral arrangement to your kitchen. The pitcher vase would look great along with the rest of your kitchen’s farmhouse decor.

Ok love this idea BUT I’m more of a real plant person. I’d so do this but switch out the arrangement with live tulips and natural plants from my yard. I love making decor from things found right outside!
I love your pitcher that you are using for a vase!
i just added cotton to some of my decor too!
This arrangement is so simple and charming for spring. I like how the lavender picks and the cotton picks add a subtle bit of contrast with the greenery. And the checkered ribbon adds just the right amount of simple embellishment to the pitcher. Quite lovely!
Love the combination of the different types of plants and flowers because it looks so full. Looks lovely on your mantel, too!
