What I love most about this kid-friendly valentine craft is that you only need a few simple craft supplies to make your own DIY valentines at home! Here’s what you’ll need to make this simple V-Day gift:

  • Printable valentines: Start by downloading my free printable Kool Aid valentine cards. Keep scrolling to see how to download and print your cards at home.
  • Cardstock: I think it’s best to print the valentine cards on heavy cardstock, which will make them strong enough to hold up to little hands passing the gifts out to their friends.
  • Kool-Aid pouches: Grab some Kool-Ade drink pouches to attach your cards to. Or use other varieties of Kool-Aid for your gift (keep reading to get more ideas to use with your printable cards).
  • Tape or glue: Attach your valentines to the Goldfish snack bags using tape or glue to secure them in place.
  • Ribbon: You can dress up your Valentine’s Day gifts with the help of some pink ribbon. But this step is optional and doesn’t have to be done to complete your DIY valentines at home.

After you’ve signed up for my e-mail and downloaded these printable valentine cards for kids, you can start putting this simple craft together. First, make sure to print out the cards on cardstock. Cut out each card around the outer border.

If you’re planning on attaching a ribbon to the top of each valentine card, usea hole punch to punch two holes in the top of each card.

After you have all the cards cut out and holes punched in the top, it’s time for your kids to do their part. Let them sign their name to the back of each card so all their friends know who passed out these fun valentines!

Next, use a piece of tape or your hot glue gun to attach the card to the front of the Kool-Ade pouches. This will help hold the cards in place as your kids pass them out to their friends.

After you have the card attached to the front of the juice, you can tie the ribbon around the top. Start by wrapping the ribbon around the back of the juice pouch. Then, thread each end through the holes on the top of the card. After that, just tie a bow in the front and trim the ends of the ribbon.

This simple valentine gift is perfect for your kids! But these fun cards aren’t just for Kool Ade pouches. You can use them in a variety of different ways! Try these Kool Ade valentine ideas for your kids’ valentine cards.

Use different Kool Ade varieties. These pouches are great for passing out to your kids’ classmates with the printable valentine cards, but there are several other varieties of Kool Ade you can use with your printable valentines, including:

  • Envelopes of Kool Aid powder
  • Kool Aid freezer pops
  • Bottles of Kool Aid Burst
  • Kool Aid jello
  • Containers of Kool Aid liquid
  • Single serve Kool Aid pouches

Use washi tape to attach the card to the bags. Instead of decorating the Kool Aid Jammers with ribbon, try adding some decorative washi tape to the cards. Just use a piece of Valentine’s Day washi tape to attach the cards by placing a piece of tape on the top and bottom of the card.

Make your own Kool Aid bottles. Instead of passing out prepackaged Kool Aid, you could also make your own. Fill mini water bottles with Kool Aid or attach a single serve Kool Aid pouch to a water bottle with the card so the kids can mix their own drinks.
