Dollar Tree Skeleton Garland
To make this DIY sksleton garland, you’ll start by finding a few Halloween supplies from the dollar store, including skeletons and ribbon.
To make this easy dollar store skeleton garland, you’ll need:
- Skeleton garland. The dollar store does all the hard work for you when it comes to this easy project. To make one buffalo plaid Halloween garland, you’ll need two skeleton garlands from the seasonal section of your Dollar Tree.
- Ribbon. I used a combination of black and white buffalo check ribbon and orange ribbon for my garland. But the dollar store has a variety of cute Halloween ribbon, which means you’ll have your pick of cute supplies for your project.
How to Make a Skeleton Garland
You won’t believe how easy it is to turn a dollar store garland into a cute farmhouse style decoration for your home with just a little bit of ribbon! Just follow these easy instructions to make your own rustic decoration.
The first step to making your own skeleton garland is to prep your skeletons. First unwrap each of the garlands. Stretch one out on a flat surface. Then, remove the skeletons from the other garland.
Next, grab your ribbon and cut several six-inch pieces from each roll. To create the ribbon flags on your garland, fold one piece of ribbon in half and loop the ends of the ribbon through the loop over the top of the garland string.
Continue adding loops of ribbon onto your garland until you have covered the string to the halfway point to the next skeleton. At that point, add another skeleton from your other garland to the string.
Then, continue looping ribbon over the string until you reach the next skeleton on the garland.
Keep repeating this process until all the garland is covered with string and skeletons. After that, your garland is ready to hang.
