- Clothespins
- Brown paint and a paintbrush
- Brown pipe cleaners
- Googly eyes
- Red pom pom

How to Make Popsicle Stick Reindeer

The first step to making your own reindeer out of popsicle sticks is to create the face for your reindeer. Line up four large popsicle sticks until the bottoms of the sticks are perfectly even. Then, cut one smaller popsicle stick in half. Glue one half to the top of the row of larger popsicle sticks. And glue the other half to the bottom of the larger popsicle sticks. These smaller sticks will hold the larger sticks in place as you put the rest of your reindeer craft together.

When the glue dries, you can start painting your reindeer craft. Use brown paint to paint the popsicle sticks and the clothespins. Keep adding coats of paint until the wood is completely covered. Then, let the paint dry completely before you move on to decorating your popsicle stick reindeer.

Now that your brown paint is dry, you can start creating your reindeer out of popsicle sticks! Start by clipping each of the clothespins to the top of the popsicle stick face. These clothespins will be your reindeer’s antlers. After adding the clothespins to the craft, cut two brown pipe cleaners in half and twist each of the halves around the top of a clothespin. Bend the ends of the pipe cleaners slightly to create antlers for your popsicle stick reindeer.

Next, add a face to your reindeer by gluing two googly eyes to the brown popsicle sticks. Place a large red pom pom under the eyes to make your reindeer’s nose.

Finish your craft by drawing a smiling mouth under your reindeer’s nose. We used a black paint marker to draw the mouth on our reindeer craft, but you could use a black marker or black paint, too.
