Since the basis of Toy Story is centered all around toys, it makes sense to include toys in the party decor. In addition to using some of my son’s Toy Story toys in the party decorations, I also made some cute blocks to add to the decor.

DIY Toy Story Decorations
These cute name blocks couldn’t be easier to make. And they add so much to your party decorations! In addition to helping you personalize your party, these big blocks also look amazing with the rest of your party decorations.

To make these cute DIY Toy Story decorations, you only need a handful of supplies:
- Brown boxes
- Duct tape
- Card stock
- Scissors or a cutting machine
- Glue
To make my blocks, I used 6×6 brown boxes, red and yellow duct tape, and red and yellow card stock. Additionally, I used my Cricut to cut out the letters for the front of the boxes.

Start by putting the boxes together, then line each side of the box with duct tape. Place half the piece of duct tape on the front of the box and half on the sides. Fold the ends to create a corner and tuck the side of the tape along the side of the box.
Continue this process with all the tape. I just did the fronts of each box, but you can add to the block look by placing tape along all the edges, too.

Now it’s time to cut your letters! I used my Cricut to cut out the letters to spell my birthday boy’s nickname. The letters were 3.5 inches tall to fit perfectly on the front of each box. Just spell out the name, then sort the letters according to color. Place the card stock on the cutting mat and cut out the letters for each color you’ll be using.

Finish creating your blocks by gluing the letters to the front of each box. Match the colored letters to the color along the edges of the blocks. Continue gluing each letter until you have spelled out the word or name you’re creating.

To ensure your block stack stays standing, it’s a good idea to glue the blocks together. Start with the bottom block and place a little bit of hot glue on top. Add the next block in the name on top of that. Continue stacking and gluing until you’ve spelled out your name.
How to Display Your Blocks

These cute blocks are perfect for a Toy Story party! You can use them in so many ways:
- Place them in front of the food table to add some dimension to the party display.
- Use them as risers for the food on your party table.
- Stand them on the floor and use them as a photo prop.
- Place them on your table to add some height to the display.
With so many great ways to use these DIY Toy Story party decorations, you better get creating! Your little one will love seeing these cute blocks as part of the rest of your party decor.
