These free printable Minion valentines make an adorable valentine craft for your kids to give their friends at friends and classmates — especially if your kid loves Despicable Me! Not to mention the fact that they’re super easy for you to make with a little help from the dollar store!

What I love most about these printable cards is that you only need a few quick and easy supplies to make your own DIY Minion valentines at home! Here’s what you’ll need to make this simple V-Day gift:

• Printable valentines: Start by downloading my free printable Minion valentines. Keep scrolling to see how to download and print your cards at home.
• Cardstock: When it comes to printing your own valentines at home for your kids to pass out, cardstock is a must. The heavier the better — especially since you’ll be attaching a toy to the cards. I suggest using at least 65 pound paper when printing your valentines.
• Minion toys: I found these adorable mini Minions in the toy section of Dollar Tree, but I have a few other ideas you can use to create some cute Minion valentines at the bottom of this post.

One in a Minion Valentine Cards Printable

The first step to making these valentines to color is to grab your free download and printing the cards out.

That means to make these cute valentines for kids, you’ll need to start by downloading the free printable. Get yours by signing up for my newsletter here.

Once you’ve taken the time to download the free printable valentine cards, putting these adorable Valentine’s Day gifts together is so easy! To view the printable PDF, you’ll need to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. If you don’t have one, I recommend Adobe PDF reader.

To print your valentine cards, open the document with your PDF reader and print it on heavy cardstock. Then, cut each card out around the yellow border. After that, you kid can sign their name at the bottom of the card or on the back if they need more space.

How to Make Minion Valentine Cards

Now that you have your cards printed and ready to go, you and your kids can have some fun adding a cute toy to each Valentine gift.

That means adding a cute Minion toy to the side of each of the cards. There are a couple of ways you can attach the toy to the card:

Hot glue gun. I used my hot glue gun to attach the toy to the card. The glue is strong enough to hold the toys in place until the cards are delivered, but easy enough for the kids to take the toys off the cards when their ready to play. All the kids have to do is peel the toy off the card. Then, remove the glue residue from the back of the toy by pinching it and pulling it off with their fingers.

Glue dots. Another way to attach the toys to the card is with glue dots. These small dots of glue will hold the Minions in place and make it simple for the kids to remove the toys from the cards.

Ribbon or string. If you woud prefer to avoid glue, you can also attach your Minion toys to the cards with ribbon or string. First, you’ll need to punch two small holes on each side of the toy. After that, thread the ribbon through each hole and tie a bow around the toy to hold it in place.
