These awesome printable video game valentines are perfect if you’re looking for a unique valentine for your kit to give their friends. Any gamer would love giving out these cool cards!
The best part about this kid-friendly project is that you only need a few supplies to put them together:
- Printable valentines: Start by downloading my free printable valentine cards. Keep scrolling to see how to download your video game cards.
- Cardstock: It’s a good idea to print the cards on heavy cardstock so they’re strong enough to hold up to little hands playing with them.
- Cricut: I’ve made this craft even easier by providing you with a print then cut file you can use with your Cricut. I suggest using your Cricut Explore Air 2 to print then cut the cards. But if you don’t have a Cricut, you can also use scissors to cut out the cards.

Print Then Cut Valentines

To use this file as a Cricut print then cut file, start by uploading the PNG version of the valentine cards into Design Space. After selecting the file, the program will ask you to select the image type. With this design, any of the options will work, so you can just select any of the choices on the screen (I picked complex).

On the next screen, Design Space will ask if you would like to use the file as a print then cut image or a cut image. Select “save as a print then cut image,” then push the green save button located in the bottom right-hand corner.

After uploading, the cards may need to be resized within design space. The printable area for a print then cut project is 9.25″ x 6.75″. That means you’ll need to resize the longer side of the cards down to 9.25 inches before you can cut.

After you resize the cards, they’re ready to print then cut. Hit the “make it” button at the top of the screen, then select the printer you want to send the design to. Make sure you have your cardstock loaded in the printer, then hit the green print button.

After the valentines have finished printing, place the cards on the cutting mat, as it appears on your computer screen. Your placement doesn’t need to be exact. The black border around the image will tell your Cricut exactly where to cut.
Load the mat into the machine, then hit the flashing Cricut button to start cutting. Once the machine is finished cutting out your cards, unload your mat and remove the valentines from the cutting mat.

Repeat this process until you have all your Valentines cut out. There are four valentines per page, so use that number to figure out how many pages you need to print then cut.
If you don’t have a Cricut, you can still make these printable video game valentines. Simply download the PDF version from my freebies page, then use your scissors to cut out each card around the outer border.
Once the cards are cut out, all your kid has to do is fill in the “to” and “from” sections of the cards. You can pass out these cards as-is or attach a fun treat or toy to them. If you want to add something extra to your cards, try one of these ideas:
