Fun Vampire Punch Recipe Perfect for Kids
This vampire punch recipe is a spooky, blood-red Halloween mocktail that’s ready in just 5 minutes. It’s sweet, fizzy, and totally non-alcoholic, so it’s perfect for kids. I make it with cherry drink mix, lemon-lime soda, and a creamy pour of sweet cream coffee creamer. That creamy topper turns it into a fun dirty soda that looks like something out of a vampire movie. It’s one of my favorite easy drinks to add to my Halloween party ideas lineup. Every glass tastes like cherry candy with a fizzy, vanilla-cream finish.

Halloween at our house is all about easy, cute treats the kids can help make. This Halloween drink checks every box. It takes just three main ingredients plus water. Kids love watching the creamer swirl down into the red “blood.” I like to serve it with my Halloween party food for kids at parties, spooky movie nights, or after trick-or-treating. The plastic vampire teeth always get a laugh!
Vampire Punch Recipe
I love this drink because it’s just as easy to make for one as it is to make for a whole party. It’s the kind of recipe I can whip up in the time it takes my kids to ask for a snack.

You only need a few simple ingredients for this three ingredient vampire punch, plus water. And if I don’t already have everything on hand, I can easily find what I need on my regular grocery run. Here’s what I used to make it:
- Cherry drink mix: I used Jolly Rancher cherry drink mix packets to create the bright red, candy-sweet “blood” base.
- Water: Water dissolves the drink mix into a smooth, sippable punch.
- Lemon-lime soda: The soda adds fizz and a light citrus flavor that balances the sweet cherry.
- Sweet cream coffee creamer: I pour the creamer over the top for that creamy, swirly dirty soda look.
- Garnishes (optional): I decorated mine with whipped cream, red gel icing, and plastic vampire teeth for a spooky finish.
How to Make Vampire Punch
One of my favorite things about this vampire punch recipe is that it comes together in five easy steps. And it’s simple enough that kids can help with every part.

The first step is to make the “vampire blood.” To do that, I pour both cherry drink mix packets into a large glass with the water. Then I stir until the powder fully dissolves.

Once the cherry drink is mixed up, I add the ice to two glasses. Then, I pour half of the cherry drink into each glass, filling each glass around halfway full. After that, I top off each glass with lemon-lime soda. I pour slowly so it doesn’t bubble over the top.

Then, I turn the punch into a dirty soda by slowly pouring the sweet cream creamer over the top of each drink. I love watching it swirl into the red punch like a creepy potion!

This last part is totally optional, but my kids love it! Add a swirl of whipped cream, a few drips of red gel icing, and a pair of plastic vampire teeth. Make sure to serve it right away while it’s cold and bubbly!
Vampire Punch Recipe Ideas
Once your kids try this fun vampire themed dirty soda, they’re going to find every excuse for you to make it again! It’s become a staple in my house during the Halloween season.

And the best part is that this Halloween mocktail is super easy to customize with what you have on hand. Here are a few fun swaps and decorating ideas:
- Cherry Kool-Aid: Use it in place of the Jolly Rancher drink mix for the same cherry flavor.
- Fruit punch drink mix: Swap it in for a fruity red punch that still looks spooky.
- Gummy fangs: Perch them on the rim or drop them in the glass for a vampire bite.
- Halloween sprinkles: Sprinkle them over the whipped cream for extra color.
- Other spooky garnishes: Try other vampire or Halloween-themed toppers to match your party.
Vampire Punch FAQs
Can I make vampire punch ahead of time? I don’t recommend it. This drink is best enjoyed right away, since it doesn’t store well once it sits.
What can I use instead of Jolly Rancher drink mix? Cherry Kool-Aid or fruit punch drink mix both work great. They give you the same bright red color and sweet flavor.
What makes this a dirty soda? A dirty soda is soda with cream or creamer added. The sweet cream creamer gives this punch its creamy swirl and smooth vanilla finish.
How can I decorate vampire punch for a Halloween party? Whipped cream, red gel icing, and plastic vampire teeth are my go-to. Gummy fangs and Halloween sprinkles are fun options too. For more spooky fun, check out my Halloween party ideas for kids.
Storage Instructions
This non-alcoholic Halloween punch is best enjoyed right away. It doesn’t store well, so I don’t recommend refrigerating or freezing leftovers. I mix it up right before I plan to serve it.
