How to Make Toy Story Alien Marshmallow Pops

Chocolate covered marshmallows make great snacks for a Toy Story party! In addition to being simple to make, these fun marshmallows are sure to be hit with all your party-goers. To make your own Toy Story marshmallow pops, you’ll need:
- Marshmallows
- Candy eyes (available on Amazon)
- Green melting chocolate (available on Amazon)
- Paper straws

Start by prepping your marshmallow pops by putting a paper straw into each of the marshmallows. For my party, I used a full bag of marshmallows, which usually contains between 30 and 35 marshmallows. So be sure you have enough paper straws to construct all your Toy Story Party marshmallow pops!

When all your marshmallows are prepped, get your green chocolate prepared. Melt the chocolate according to the instructions on the package. Then, pour it in to a cup to make dipping your marshmallows a little bit simpler.

Carefully dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, making sure all the sides and bottom of the marshmallow are evenly coated. As you pull the marshmallow out of the melted chocolate, give the stick a little shake to help any excess chocolate drip off the marshmallow.

Place your chocolate covered marshmallows on a piece of parchment paper or wax paper and immediately add three candy eyes. It’s important to place the eyes on the marshmallow while the chocolate is still warm to ensure they stick. Don’t wait until the chocolate is set or you won’t be able to add the eyes!
Displaying Your Toy Story Marshmallow Pops
Now that you have all your alien marshmallow pops ready, you’re probably wondering how to display these cute treats for your Toy Story party. Here are a few easy ways to display your pops for your party guests.

My Toy Story Alien marshmallow pops were displayed in a metal bucket. But you won’t be able to simply place the pops inside the bucket because it will fall over. The key to getting your marshmallow pops to stand is styrofoam. Place a piece of floral foam in the bottom of your bucket. Then, stick the marshmallow pop sticks into the foam so they stand up straight. Finish by covering the foam with some tissue paper or paper shreds.
Another great option for displaying your Toy Story marshmallow pops is to use a cake pop stand.
A cake pop stand like this will hold your sticks in place, making it easy to display your pops and simple for your guests to grab when when they’re ready to eat.
If either of these options doesn’t work for you, I have an even simpler alternative! Just flip the pops upside down and have the sticks pointing up. Then, you can display the pops on a flat surface. If you opt for this display method, I would suggest cutting the paper straws in half so the sticks aren’t so long.
