There are so many different ways you can use Dollar Tree to make your own wreath to add a spooky touch to your front porch this fall. Try these Dollar Tree Halloween wreath ideas to create an amazing decoration for your home this summer without spending a ton of money in the process:

  • Wreath forms: The most important item you’ll use in your wreath is the wreath form. And Dollar Tree always has a variety of wreath forms to choose from. You can find traditional round wreath forms in the craft section. Typically, the store has foam, wire, and willow wreath forms you can use as the base of your wreath. Another place to look for wreath forms is in the store’s seasonal section. You might be able to find a Halloween wreath form, like a pumpkin or witch hat, to use for your front door.
  • Ribbon: There are so many great Halloween ribbon options at the dollar store. You can find plain and patterned ribbon in the craft section in orange and black, along with twine and rope for a more rustic look. The seasonal section is also a great place to find Halloween patterned ribbon and mesh for your wreath.
  • Floral: You can’t go wrong by adding flowers to your wreath! During the fall months, you’ll find a variety of rustic flower options perfect for decorating your Halloween wreath. In addition to the floral section, you can also find seasonally spooky flowers on the endcaps of the aisles and in the Halloween section of the store.
  • Signs: A simple way to dress up any wreath is with a sign, and Dollar Tree always has a variety of cheap sign options to choose from. Typically, you’ll find Halloween signs in the seasonal section of the store during the fall months.

Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath Supplies

Once you’ve made a trip to the dollar store to see their Halloween wreath options, it’s time to put your wreath together! Follow these simple steps to use your Dollar Tree supplies to make an amazing decoration for your front door this fall.

While there are tons of great ways to use dollar store supplies to make a wreath, if you’re wondering how to make this Dollar Tree Halloween wreath, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Wreath form: I used an 18 inch wire wreath form to make this Halloween wreath. It was in the craft section, along with a variety of other forms. If you can’t find this size or style, you can also use a foam form to create the wreath.
  • Black spiderwebs: I only used the black spider webs to fluff up the wreath. So if you can’t find any in the Halloween section of the store, you can skip using this supply.
  • Spooky fabric: Instantly add a spooky look to your wreath with the help of spooky fabric. I used black fabric for my wreath, but you could also grab grey or off white to make your own design. You’ll need at least two packages of spooky cloth.
  • Halloween sign: Decorate your wreath with the help of one of Dollar Tree’s amazing Halloween signs. I love the vintage look of this trick or treat sign I found at my local store!
  • Glitter spiders and bats: Add some visual style and a pop of color to your wreath with the help of some glittery decorations. I used a large orange spider and some small silver bats. You can find these decorations in the seasonal section at the front of the store.
  • Hot glue gun: Make sure all the pieces stay on your wreath while it’s hanging on your front door with the help of your handy hot glue gun. You’ll need it to attach the spider and bats to the wreath.

Since each of the supplies I used to create this wreath came from Dollar Tree, there only cost $1.25. That means I was able to make this farmhouse wreath for just under $10!

How to Make a Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath

After you have all your supplies ready to go, you can start putting your DIY Dollar Tree Halloween wreath together!

Start by arranging the black spider webs around the entire wreath form. The webs will be used to fluff up the wreath. And since they’re black, they won’t show up when you start wrapping your creepy cloth around the form.

Once you have the wreath form covered with spider webs, you can start wrapping the form with the creepy fabric. Use the hot glue gun to attach the end of the fabric to the back of the wreath form.

After that, you can start wrapping the fabric loosely around the entire form. When you come to the end of the piece of fabric, glue the end in place and start wrapping another piece of fabric until the entire form is covered.

Next, you can add the sign to the wreath. I used a piece of black ribbon I had at home already to tie the sign to the top of the wreath. Pull the ribbon tightly around the top of the wreath, then attach it with a bow.

Next, use your hot glue gun to attach the spider to one side of the wreath. Add a line of glue around the bottom edge of the spider and hold it in place on the wreath until the glue dries.

Finish decorating your spooky wreath by attaching the bats. My bats had clips on the back of them, making them simple to attach to the fabric. You can also use your hot glue gun to attach the bats along the side of the wreath.

How to Hang a Halloween Wreath on Your Front Door

Now that you have your wreath decorated with spooky fabric and a cute Dollar Tree sign, you’re going to want to display it on your front porch!
