To make your own carrot shaped cheese ball, you’ll need just a few simple ingredients:

  • Cream cheese: The base of your cheese ball is made of cream cheese. You can use full-fat or reduced fat cream cheese. Just make sure to soften it before you start mixing your ingredients!
  • Fresh herbs: You can use any combination of fresh herbs you want to create this flavorful dip. I used a mix of fresh dill, chives, parsley, sage, and basil. In addition to adding chopped fresh herbs into the cheese ball, you’ll also need some fresh parsley stems to decorate the top of the dip.
  • Garlic. Add some garlic powder to the mix to enhance the flavor of the fresh herbs!
  • Shredded cheese: I used shredded cheddar cheese to decorate the carrot cheese ball. You could also use Colby cheese or any other orange cheese to top off your own dip.

Now that the dip is mixed up, it’s time to form it into a carrot shape. First, lay a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Then, transfer the cream cheese mixture to the plastic wrap.

Place another piece of plastic wrap on top of the cheese mixture, then use your hands to form it into a long triangle shape.

Transfer the cheese ball to the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour. You can keep the cheese ball in the fridge up to overnight if you need to.
