If your kids are Toy Story 4 fans like mine, they’ve probably asked to make thier own Forky craft. And while Forky may look like an easy craft to put together, it can be hard to figure out what supplies to use to make your own Toy Story Forky craft for kids. This adorable craft for kids is fun to make at at home, but it’s also perfect for a Toy Story birthday party.

What Do You Need to Make Forky?

To make your own Forky craft, you’ll need a few simple craft supplies. Put together Forky at home with these supplies:

• White spork
• Red and blue puff paint
• Googly eyes
• Red pipe cleaner
• Craft stick
• White clay
• Glue

So, gather up your supplies and get started on your own DIY Forky right now!

How to Make Forky from Toy Story

To make your Toy Story Forky craft for kids, start by gluing the eyes to the back of the spork. To make our Forky look more like the one in the movie, we used one large googly eye and one small googly eye. But Forky would look just as cute with eyes that are the same size!

Next, draw the Forky face on your craft. Use the red puff paint to create Forky’s eyebrow across the top of his eyes. Then, use the blue puff paint to draw his mouth under the eyes. While it looks like Forky’s face was created using clay in the movie, I think using puff paint is a little easier for kids to manage. And it ensures your Forky craft will last a while as your kids play with him.

After drawing on Forky’s face, set the spork aside to give your paint time to dry. While the paint is drying, create Forky feet with the craft stick. Cut the stick in half, then glue one half on top of the other half to create a V shape with the two sticks. When the glue has dried, create a mound of clay on top of the sticks to hold Forky’s body in place.

Stick the handle of the spork into the mound of clay, then pinch the clay around the bottom of the spork to hold it in place. Make sure to use air-dry clay for your Forky craft so that the clay will hold Forky together as your kids play with him.

Finish by using a red pipe cleaner to create Forky’s arms. Here’s how to make Forky hands: wrap the pipe cleaner around the center of the spork a few times to secure it in place, then create circles on each end to form hands. After that, you’ll just need to allow the paint and clay to dry before your kids start playing with their adorable Toy Story forky craft for kids!

Tips for Making Your Own Forky

Making your own Forky DIY can be so much fun for your kids! In addition to putting the craft together, they’ll have a blast playing with Forky when they’re finished. As you’re making your own Forky, these tips may help:

Puff paint is the best choice for the face. You could use craft paint and a brush to paint on Forky’s face, but the 3D effect that the puff paint gives will give your Forky craft a more authentic look. You can find puff paint in the craft section of Wal-Mart or purchase it on Amazon.

Use air dry clay to hold Forky in place. If your child will be playing with their Forky craft after they’re finished making it, it’s a good idea to use air dry clay to hold Forky on the craft stick feet. Play-Doh would work if you’ll just be making the craft without playing with it. But the clay will need to dry completely before playing to ensure Forky’s feet don’t fall off while playing.
