I don’t know about you, but with two kids and three pets in the house, the pillows on my couch take a beating. That’s why I love pillow covers so much. They’re a great way to change up the look of your decor or simply cover a stained or worn out pillow. And these simple DIY no sew pillow covers are the perfect quick fix.

All you need to put these easy no sew pillow covers together are a fleece blanket, pillows, scissors, and your trusty glue gun. Start by laying the blanket flat on the floor. Then, set your pillow on top of the blanket, leaving an extra inch on one side to allow for the seam. Use your fabric scissors to cut an inch away from the other side of the pillow.

Once you have the blanket for your no sew pillow covers cut, it’s time to put them together. Start by flipping the blanket over so the outside of the fabric is now on the inside. If you have a fabric like with a print like mine, this step really isn’t that important because there isn’t a inside or outside for this print. Fold the blanket over your pillow, repositioning it until the blanket is folded evenly over the pillow. You’ll want the top half of the blanket to fold over the bottom half, creating an envelop for the pillow to sit inside. You may need to trim the blanket if it’s too long.

When you have the blanket positioned how you like, remove the pillow. Grab your glue gun and start gluing the side seams together. As you add the glue, make sure the seams are lined up correctly because once you glue, there’s no going back!

Continue gluing along the seam on the other side of the no sew pillow covers. Once the glue has set and cooled, flip the pillow cover right side out and place your pillow inside. To put the pillow in, just slide the top half of the pillow through the crack in the back and pull the bottom half of the new sew pillow cover over the bottom of the pillow.

Actually, I’m working on making some things for our “model house” (it’s not a DOLL HOUSE, lol… my kids have made sure that we DO NOT CALL IT A DOLL HOUSE!) and hot glue would be SO MUCH EASIER than trying to sew all those little things.
