You won’t believe how simple these Easter eggs are to make! And I’ll let you in on a little secret — there’s no painting involved!
Even though these floral Easter eggs look hand painted, they’re not! That means you don’t need any special skills to create them — just a few simple supplies and a few minutes of your time.
Farmhouse Easter Eggs
The best thing about this easy Easter craft is that you only need three simple supplies to make it. That means you can put these rustic eggs together in a matter of minutes. After that, the hardest part is waiting for the glue to dry.

To make your own floral Easter eggs, you’ll need a few simple supplies, including:
- Floral paper napkins. I found these beautiful watercolor napkins at Dollar General! But you can use any type of paper napkins you want to make your own Easter eggs. Just make sure the design has a hand-painted look to it to get the full effect on your finished product.
- Craft eggs. The eggs are used are white plastic craft eggs from Hobby Lobby. You can find similar eggs at most craft stores around the Easter holiday. You could also use wooden eggs and paint them if you want.
- Mod Podge. The most important item you’ll need to make these decoupage eggs is Mod Podge. Luckily, you can find it just about anywhere! Grab a big bottle from any craft store or craft aisle at Wal-Mart. Or get a small bottle from the craft aisle at Dollar Tree.
How to Make Farmhouse Easter Eggs
If you’re wondering how do you decorate Easter eggs with paper napkins, you’re in luck! All you have to do is follow these simple steps to create some beautiful farmhouse style eggs with Mod Podge and napkins.

Start by gathering up your supplies. In addition to the glue and napkins, you’ll also need scissors and a paint brush.
First, unfold your napkin and pick which section of the napkin you want to use to decorate your egg. It’s a good idea to place the egg under the napkin to make sure the entire design will fit.
Once you have your section picked out, cut it out as close to the edge of the design as possible. Since the background of my napkin was white, it was fine if I wasn’t able to get the design cut out exactly because the background blended in with the egg.
After that, peel off the extra layers on the back of the napkin until you’re left with only the thin layer on top that has the design on it.

Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge over the area on the egg where you want the design to go. Carefully place the napkin on top of the Mod Podge and slowly lay the edges down. You need to be extremely careful as you’re arranging the napkin on top of the glue because it will rip easily.
Once you have your napkin in the spot that you want it, lightly brush another coat of Mod Podge over the top to seal it. Then, let that layer of glue dry. Once the first layer is dry, add a second layer of Mod Podge to the top of the egg and allow it to dry overnight.
