How to Make Gluten Free Apple Pie Bars

Now that your crust is ready, you can start putting your gluten free cherry pie bars together in the pan. You’ll need an 9×9 baking pan for this recipe. To make it easier to remove your pie bars from the pan, I suggest lining the pan with a piece of parchment paper. Cut the paper to fit the pan, making sure that the ends are hanging over slightly. After that, spray the parchment paper and the pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Now it’s time to add the star of this gluten free apple dessert — the apple pie filling! Pour the entire can over the top of the crust, making sure to spread it evenly. If you don’t like large pieces of apple, try pouring the filling into a bowl first, then using a knife to cut the apples into smaller pieces. Then, transfer the pie filling to the top of your crust.

Bake the apple pie bars until the streusel topping is golden brown. When they’re finished baking, allow them to cool in the pan for around 10 minutes. After they’re cool, grab the ends of the parchment paper that are hanging over the edges of the pan and carefully lift the pie bars up out of the pan. Transfer the bars to a wire cooling rack to cool completely, then cut them into bars before serving.
