One of my favorite ways to make no bake treats for Halloween is by using premade products. And when it comes to cute and spooky treats perfect for Halloween, it doesn’t get much better than Monster Mash cereal from General Mills!

These berry flavored treats come in spooky shapes and bright colors, not to mention to the adorable marshmallows mixed in, which makes them the best choice for whipping up cereal bars for your kids this Halloween!

No Bake Halloween Treats

To make these fun Halloween cereal treats, you’ll start with some cereal. Luckily, there are four spooky varieties to choose from when making your own spooky snacks!

To make this easy recipe for no bake Halloween treats, you’ll need:

  • Halloween cereal. I used Monster Mash cereal from General Mills to make these cute and creepy bars. But there are three other Halloween themed cereal options you can choose from to make your own treats: Carmella Creeper, Boo Berry, Franken Berry, Count Chocula.
  • Butter. I typically use unsalted butter when making these treats, but salted would work as well if that’s all you have on hand.
  • Marshmallows. Mini marshmallows or full-sized marshmallows can be used to make your cereal bars. But I have found that mini marshmallows melt a little bit quicker than larger ones.

That’s it! All you need are three ingredients to make these quick and easy Halloween treats for your next party.

How to Make No Bake Halloween Treats

You won’t believe how simple it is to prepare these simple no bake snacks. That’s because you can make them in one large pot with just three ingredients!

Add the butter to a large stockpot and heat it over medium heat until it’s melted. I suggest lightly stirring the butter around occasionally to keep it from burning on the sides of the pan as it melts.

Next, add the marshmallows to the pot and continue cooking over medium low heat, stirring often. As you stir, the marshmallows will begin to melt. Keep stirring until all the marshmallows are melted and the butter is mixed in.

Finish the Halloween treats by adding the Monster Mash cereal to the pot. Remove the pan from heat and carefully stir the cereal into the melted marshmallows.

Try pulling the spoon from the bottom of the pan, then up and over the cereal to bring the marshmallows up over the top of the cereal. This will make it easier to stir everything together without crushing your cereal pieces.

Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper to make it easier to remove the bars from the pan. Make sure the edges of the paper are hanging over the edges of the pan.

Spoon the cereal mixture into the pan until all the cereal has been transferred. Then, lightly grease your hands with nonstick cooking spray and press the bars into the pan. Use a light touch as you press, only pushing the mixture into an even layer and not pushing so hard that you crush the cereal.

Once you have the cereal pressed into the pan, all that’s left to do is wait for it to cool! Give the bars around one hour to cool and set, then use the edges of the parchment paper to pull the bars from the pan.

Lay the bar on a flat surface and cut it into 15 treats before serving.
