Print Your Washi Tape Wall Art Frame

This washi tape craft is one of my favorite spring craft ideas because it can be customized for your own home. Simply start with my free printable frame, and make your own design with washi tape. After you’ve signed up for my newsletter and printed the frame, cut out the center. You should have an outline of a house inside the frame. I suggest printing on high quality card stock because this part of the printable will be seen inside your frame when you’re finished creating this washi tape wall art.

I used a sharp pair of scissors to cut out the center of the frame and didn’t have any problems. Since the frame is made up of straight lines, scissors are great for cutting the frame. You could also use an exacto knife to cut the frame out.

Decorate with Washi Tape

Now it’s time to have some fun creating your own washi tape wall art. I chose a selection of washi tape designs that feature colors in my existing home decor, including black, pink, and light blue. To make your wall art, simply place pieces of washi tape on a plain piece of white cardstock.

This was one of my spring craft ideas, so I decided to use washi tape with floral patterns. But the best part about this washi tape wall art is that you can easily change the design according to the season!

The printable frame is simply placed on top of your washi tape design, so you can swap out the washi tape background for different patterns as the seasons change. Simply take the Home Sweet Home frame off the spring craft ideas design and replace it with one for fall, Christmas, Halloween…whatever holiday you want!

To finish creating your washi tape wall art, frame it! I love the contract that comes with framing my brightly colored spring design with a black frame. And the frame works with the rest of the decor in my living room.

It adds the perfect pop of color on my side table, next to my rustic farmhouse lamp. It’s a great addition to my spring decor!
