DIY Dollar Store Christmas Wreath

Burlap wreaths are an easy and affordable way to dress up your door for any holiday. The adaptable fabric is perfect for any occasion and can be adapted to Christmas simply by adding some accent ribbons and floral decorations, making it a great idea for a simple Christmas craft. To make this DIY Dollar Store Christmas wreath I even added a sparkly ornament.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Metal wreath ring	Floral wire	Burlap ribbon	Ornament	Floral clip	Floral accents

 

To start the wreath, grab your metal wreath ring and flip it upside down. Weave a small piece of floral wire through your burlap ribbon and twist the wire around the middle loop of your wreath ring. Then, pull loops of burlap through each space of the wreath ring.

I did two rows of burlap before beginning to weave in my accent ribbon. To start the accent ribbon row, I just tied a small knot around the middle ring, the pulled the ribbon through in loops like I did the burlap ribbon.

For each row of accent ribbon, I added two rows of burlap until the entire DIY Dollar Store Christmas wreath was covered. I made sure to leave a small space between the end of the ribbon and where your ribbon starts to clip my large floral clip. Then, I took another piece of floral wire and worked it through the back of my ornament. I then wrapped the wire around the middle rung of the wreath ring to secure it to the wreath.

To finish, cut pieces off of your floral accents and stick them around the edges of your flower clip and ornament. To make them secure, I added a little hot glue on the bottom of each floral accent once I figured out where I wanted each piece placed.

And that’s it! This DIY Dollar Store Christmas wreath is super easy and so beautiful! And the best part is — you can adapt it to your own style so easily. Just swap out the accent ribbon, accents, or ornament for a DIY wreath that’s completely your own.
