Cute Paper Bag Monkey Craft for Preschoolers
My toddler is obsessed with Curious George. And since we love doing simple crafts for kids, I just had to come up with a fun monkey craft for him to do. This adorable paper bag monkey craft for preschoolers is not only simple to make. But it’s also fun for your little one to play with!

On top of being a simple craft for a toddler or preschooler to put together, this cute paper bag monkey is also so fun to play with.

Easy Monkey Craft for Preschoolers
The thing I love most about this craft is how easy it is to make. To make this easy monkey craft for kids, you’ll need a few simple supplies, including:
- paper bag
- white construction paper
- brown construction paper
- googly eyes
- black marker
- glue
Start by making the cute little monkey face. To construct the face, I cut out an oval shape from the white construction paper. Then, I cut out a monkey-shaped face from the brown construction paper. Finally, glue the brown face on top of the white oval.
Cut out a small oval from the brown construction paper. Then, cut that oval in half to make two little monkey ears. Glue one ear to each side of the back of the monkey’s face.
Finish making the monkey’s head by drawing a mouth and nose on the front of the face. Add a couple of googly eyes, then set your monkey face aside for a second to construct the body.
Monkey Craft for Kids Body
The body of this monkey craft for preschoolers is a paper bag. To puff up the bag and help it hold its shape, fill it with some paper scraps before closing it. Keep the bag closed by rolling the top down and securing the ends with a few pieces of tape.
Use a little bit of glue to attach the monkey’s face to the body, then set the body aside so you can get the arms and legs ready!
The arms and legs of this adorable monkey craft for kids are made by linking strips of brown construction paper together. Start by cutting even strips of paper. You’ll need three strips for each arm and leg, so cut 12 strips of paper in total.
Form a chain with the strips of paper by gluing the ends of one strip together. Thread a second strip of paper through the center of the first strip, then glue those ends together. Repeat the process with a third strip of paper.
Continue making chains of three strips of paper until you have four chains made. Then, attach two chains to the sides of the monkey body and two chains to the bottom of the monkey body to form arms and legs.

Paper Bag Monkey Craft for Preschoolers
This simple paper bag monkey craft for preschoolers is an easy craft for kids and fun to play with, too!
Materials
- Brown construction paper
- White construction paper
- Plastic eyes
- Brown paper bags
Tools
- Glue
- Scissors
- Black marker
Instructions
- Cut an oval shape out of white construction paper. Cut a monkey face shape out of brown construction paper and glue on top of the white oval.
- Cut two semi-circles out of brown construction paper. Glue to the back of the white oval in the place of ears.
- Glue a pair of plastic eyes on the monkey face. Using a black marker, draw a nose and mouth on the face.
- Open one brown paper bag and fill with crumpled up bags or pieces of scrap paper. Fold the top over and secure with glue or tape.
- Glue the monkey face to the top of the paper bag.
- Make arms and legs by cutting strips of brown construction paper. Form a ring with one strip of paper, securing the ends together with glue. Link another strip onto the first ring by pulling the strip through the center of the ring and securing the ends with glue. Link three strips of paper together to create two arms and two legs.
- Secure the arms and legs to the paper bag with glue.
