It’s officially summer sports time! Which means a trunk full of gear and snack duty for us sports moms! My son is playing baseball this year, so I thought I’d share the baseball snack I put together last week — on top of some other cute baseball snack ideas from across the internet.
I think I’ve mentioned before how much we love snack mixes in our house. That’s why I decided to create a simple baseball-themed snack mix for my son’s team. It includes some class baseball treats, along with a few sweets thrown into the mix.
Here’s what I put in my mix:
I started with a base of homemade popcorn, then added some pretzels, Cheerios, and potato sticks for the salty side. On the sweet side were mini marshmallows, along with some yellow Sixlets (his team’s color) and baseball-wrapped chocolates. I took advantage of Party City’s candy bar for the candy pieces.
The kids love searching through the bag to find all the different treats inside! If you plan on making this mix, note that adding the marshmallows will quickly made the rest of the mix stale. So, I suggest adding those at the last minute to keep everything fresh for the game.
Some other fun mix-ins to consider for your baseball snack mix: peanuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, Goldfish, M & Ms, or gummy candy.
If snack mix isn’t your thing, there are tons of other great ideas for team snacks out there! These are some of my favorite baseball snack ideas:
